Lack of attention

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

When I pay for the most expensive car wash you offer I expect to leave with a clean truck. I don't expect to see mud still hanging on my fender wells.

I also get tired of having to direct employees to remove all the bird droppings from my doors and mirrors. These should be obvious to any working in the auto washing business.

Every time I go there I have to point out the obvious. If I don't I'll leave with bird droppings still on the truck.

Horrible Customer Service!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I wish I could give them zero Stars after speaking with their horrible customer service agent Jenny!! They refused to transfer me to a supervisor or Manager or even have someone in management call me back.

I initially thought the world of this Car Wash Company.

As a new promotion they were offering their best car wash $29.99 for $24.99 a $5 off Promo and it was good for a month, but it would automatically renew unless you canceled 2 weeks prior to the start of the new 30-day cycle at the regular price which should have been $29.99 but no now they say it's $49.99 plus tax!! $53.47

As soon as I got the alert for the charge from my credit card company I started trying to contact this company by phone and on their website but they don't call you back and their phone system is horrible, I waited an hour before I got through to someone while I was on hold listening to a crazy recording that doesn't respond to you entering any of the selections offered!!

When I did finally get through, I spoke to young lady named Jenny who said that they could not do anything because the new period had started and I had gone through three times and that if they were to cancel then they would have to charge me $30 for each of those car washes!!

But I broke down the math to her; if it's $50 per month and you can go up to 30 times in a 30-day period then it's really only $1.67 for each car wash and I said; well go ahead and charge me $1.67. times 3 and give me my refund for the difference and cancel my membership, but they refused.

This con job is known as bait and switch and it is illegal!!!

Do NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!

Verify your auto renewals for the correct amount as they will not issue any refunds any credits and just have lousy customer service just crooked company!!!

They never replaced my antenna

I have a brand new trax, I went there to get a good car wash and when I got to work on my first break I noticed my antenna was broke off, thank God I kept my receipt, I went back the next day and they said oh well let us look to see if its inside and well call you back, I waited a day know response I called customer service three separate times so I went back up there and we wrote a report took pictures I got a copy and so did they after that I waited about a couple of weeks called customer service again then the manager started calling back. The point is Ive been patient with them to fix my car they have cameras in there before your car go in and when it come out they shouldve checked them and they need to fix their equipment so it wont tear up peoples cars, I still want to be reimbursed for all the trouble I had to go through with getting my vehicle right again, I wont go there anymore, Ive been to other car washes and had no problems with them, they SICK

Car wash did not clean the top of the car (at all)

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Tidal Wave Auto Spa - Car wash did not clean the top of the car (at all)
Contains 1 confidential file for company representatives

I went for a hot wax car wash for my Nissan Leaf and when I got home, the top of the car looked like it never had been touched by the twirling cleaning brushes (actually I believe it is more like cloth strips spinning)

Called the number on the receipt and the woman l that answered said it is my responsibility to go back and let them know immediately...Immediately doesn't mean when I get home to note the pollen still adhering to the top of the car and immediately doesn't mean recharging the vehicle (electric car) and another >40 mile roundtrip to get the top washed and waxed.

Tidal Wave can do better with these kind of complaints (to me it is an opportunity for quality inspection management)

Note picture shows where I had cleaned 1/3 of the top weeks ago. The rest of the clean spotlessly.

Each location does NOT have a contact number you can reach out to not any email for the location.

Prices are okay, most of the time towels are available, sometimes the service washerman scrub windows randomly and sometimes I'm satisfied and sometimes I'm not

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The owner's response was argumentative and threatening. I told him that the washing staff usually use the brush on my front and back windows.

Without realizing that he was the owner, who provided the subpar service, he insisted, 'This is not a full service car wash.' I replied, 'I know, but I expect the usual service.' Then he retorted, 'You don't have to come here.

You're free to go wherever you want!' I responded, 'You're absolutely right, lift the arm...' He took his time, intending to express his opinions further, but I interjected, 'I don't want to hear it...lift the arm!' A young worker there apologized for the incident. I thanked him and clarified, 'It's not your fault.' I cancelled my membership that same day.

Poor Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On July 27th, at Tidal Wave Statesboro, GA, I experienced very poor service from the owner himself! I currently hold a monthly membership.

As part of the service, whenever I enter the wash, they usually remove the pre-debris from the vehicle. This time, however, it was poorly done. They barely squirted at the tire, used a brush on the corner of the back window, and did nothing at all on the front. Upon exiting the wash, I could clearly see that everything was not properly done!

I went back and asked for the windows to be scrubbed down, but the owner got combative.

I will be canceling my service plan and will be telling everyone I know not to do business there. New isn't always better!

Overcharged and lied to!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I just wanted a one-time wash. The employee there mentioned a special going on.

A one-time charge for the exact amount I was spending on one wash would give me a free month. I asked several detailed questions because it sounded too good to be true (and it was!). Anyway, he assured me there were no extra charges, just a special going on. I agreed.

Later that day, I received a text asking me to fill out my make, model, name and so on. After filling that out, it thanked me for my monthly subscription. I paid around $23, and this said my monthly fee would be $44.95!!! I tried everything and finally found the unsubscribe button, and it was as if I was clicking on nothing!

This was a car wash that is 30 minutes away, and once in a while, I will head that way, but not often. It's not easy to unsubscribe from or get a hold of anyone to talk to.

They have now taken over $100 out of my account for one simple car wash. I will never use them again!

Damages cars

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Tidal Wave Auto Spa - Damages cars
Tidal Wave Auto Spa - Damages cars - Image 2

This location is extremely poorly managed. They are always out of towels and most of the vacuums don't have suction.

Not to mention the lack of response (or even empathy) when they damage cars.

The final nail in the coffin was that their car wash damaged my wheel. They promised to review the footage and contact me, but they haven't after two weeks. Judging by how well they keep the place staffed, and the instantly accusatory tone the manager used, I shouldn't be surprised.

If you go through their reviews, there's multiple people who mention damage to their cars. They certainly will say that it isn't their fault, but you can tell they do not take care to avoid simple things that would cause damage to cars.

For instance, when you are exiting the wash, look to the right side for the tire brush. The metal on there is extremely scraped and gouged. It's clear that this piece of machinery has malfunctioned often to damage wheels, such as the damage I received on mine.

Other area car washes are better maintained and with better prices and management. Go to Charley's where your monthly unlimited washes are $10 cheaper, the management and staff are responsive, and the technology used is made to avoid any potential accidental damage to your car such as a more modern conveyor belt that doesn't press against your tires.

Edit: I reached out to them and the number they gave was a national hotline.

The person immediately began asking me for information and until I asked she didnt let me know that she cant do anything. Its been almost another week and still no contact or callback.

Tidal wave bad business practice

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I drove from Atlanta, Georgia to Johnson City, Tennessee. I stopped at tidal wave auto spa to get the bugs washed off from the trip.

There was an attendant at the entrance, I told him I wanted a $30 car wash. Gave him my credit card, only to find out I was charged $49.97 for the next three months. For a membership I never requested.

Of the $149.91 that I was owed , I only received $48.30 refunded to my account.

There are other stories of Title Waves, Bad business practices Signing up customers for memberships, that only request a single car wash. Bad customer service is never the way to do business.

My review is about the car wash Tidal Wave. I was asked if I wanted to try the car wash for a month free and if I wanted it I could fill out the paper work.

I never filled out anything and I have been charged $23.97 every month for 4 months and did not realize that. My husband was paying the bills and when I looked at one and saw this. I was furious and the company only took off 1 month. This is not right.

It was not explained correctly and to beat it all it was the manager that did this. A man that came from Florida to open a new car wash. I guess he needed a lot of customers for his new car wash. Dont ever take this kind of thing.

When they offer you a free car wash as many times as you want to use it for a month BE WARE. Using my credit card to pay for 1 car wash. $12.00 they charged me & 23.97 each month and I did not even know it and they wont take it off. BE CAREFUL OF THESE DEALS.

Especially to do an elderly woman like this.

DONT GO TO THIS CAR WASH. BESIDES IT WAS SO STRONG it tore my rubber stripe on the top of my SUV.

Personal experience

Original review updated Oct 28, 2023

Scott Blackstock, CEO, is a robber baron. Company gives a very inadequate two weeks training to new site managers, promises on site trainers for 6 weeks, then doesn't deliver. Trainers are not themselves trained and lack fundamental knowledge they need, mislead new employees and make up nonsense and leave after a few days, leaving chaos.

Corporate is unresponsive to managers' problems and refuses to help

Sites are set up to fail.

Repairs are a bad joke, damage to customer's cars is ignored if possible.
